Diisco Targets Hospitality Staffing Crisis with New Gig Platform at NRPBS 2026

Finding reliable staff at short notice remains a major operational challenge for hospitality businesses. At The National Restaurant, Pub & Bar Show 2026, UK hospitality technology company Diisco will demonstrate a new approach to solving the problem.
Diisco is a hospitality-focused gig platform that allows restaurants, pubs, bars, hotels and event venues to post individual shifts and connect directly with available hospitality workers.

Rather than relying on traditional agency processes, venues can publish a shift through Diisco, receive applications from workers, review profiles and ratings, and confirm the worker they want.

The platform is designed for the reality of hospitality, where staffing requirements can change quickly because of sickness, unexpected demand, events, seasonal peaks or last-minute cancellations.

“A staffing gap can have a real impact on a hospitality business,” says Hasan Shahid CEO/Founder at Disco. “We wanted to create a platform that makes finding temporary staff as straightforward as posting a shift and choosing the right person.”

Diisco’s model gives venues greater visibility over the workers they engage while giving hospitality professionals more flexibility to choose the shifts that suit them.

The platform includes worker profiles, experience and ratings, shift applications, messaging, availability, attendance verification and payment management.

Diisco launched initially in Leeds and Manchester and is now preparing to expand its presence across the UK.

The company will be showcasing the platform at The National Restaurant, Pub & Bar Show at ExCeL London on 16–17 September 2026, where visitors will have the opportunity to see how technology can help simplify flexible staffing.

The NRPBS is specifically aimed at the restaurant, pub and bar sector and brings together innovative suppliers and hospitality decision-makers.
