Meet The Brand: Re:Water
Ben Richardson, Co-Founder of Re:Water, talks about how the aluminium bottled water brand is making on-the-go-water genuinely sustainable.
Tell us about Re:Water?
Re:Water is the UK’s first bottled water in a 100% recycled aluminium bottle, designed to be refilled, reused, and endlessly recycled. No plastic. No greenwash. It’s a genuinely sustainable and premium alternative to single-use plastic, cartons, cans, and glass.
Where can we find your bottles?
We’re now in over 10 million hands and growing fast. Listings include M&S, Pret, Caffe Nero, Itsu, Benugo, London Zoo, LW Theatres, Lord’s, The Eden Project, National Trust, Everyman Cinemas.
Why did you create it?
Honestly? We were fed up with all the plastic. The big players weren’t moving fast enough, and we knew there had to be a better way.
We wanted to create something genuinely sustainable — not just a gimmick — and something premium that people would actually want to reuse. Re:Water was our answer.
What makes Re:Water different from other water brands?
Loads of things. The bottle looks premium, chills fast and feels great in your hand. But more importantly, it doesn’t end up in a landfill.
Aluminium is infinitely recyclable and the most valuable material in the recycling stream, so it actually gets recycled. And if your customers refill it? Even better.
Why should F&B buyers care?
Because your customers do. They want sustainable options — but not at the expense of quality or experience. Re:Water helps you deliver both. It’s a standout product that elevates shelves, fridges, grab-and-go zones and event menus — and shows you’re walking the sustainability talk, not just talking it.
What’s next?
We’ve just launched our 330ml ‘mini bottle’ which we think is ideal for mini bars and hotel rooms. We’ve just won a King’s Award for Enterprise for Innovation, too.
Buyers are realising this isn’t just bottled water — it’s a shift in mindset. If you want to ditch plastic, delight customers, and deliver real sustainability, we should talk.
