The stand is constructed throughout in a silver aluminium system incorporating lightweight white foamex wall panels, 4mm thick. Fascia supports are provided at intervals not exceeding 4m apart. Large stands may require additional interior posts to support the grid.

Your stand will have a name board with your exhibiting name and stand number applied directly to it.

Complete Shell Scheme Heights:
Shell Height: 2.5m
Floor to underside of ceiling grid: 2.43m

If you are in the Technology Zone your stand will be built in the ‘Edge’ System, and constructed by GES.

Stand types:

  • Island shell scheme stands will not contain any walling and will be open on all four sides.
  • Part island shell scheme stands will have one back wall, where shell is on either side.
  • End of run stands or corner sites will have two walls and two open sides.

Additional information:

  • When ordering additional walling/storage areas from the official contractor, you need to consider your neighbours. Stands incorporating long runs of gangway perimeter walling (more than 30% of any wall) will not be permitted if deemed by the organisers to have a detrimental effect on the show or surrounding stands.
  • Removal of fascia. If you wish to have your fascia removed please contact the organisers at [email protected] and depending on where your stand is located and your neighbours’ build we may be able to remove the fascia, but please be aware that this is not always possible.
  • Shell Scheme Extras. The official contractors offer a wide range of additional extras for shell scheme stands. Exhibitors are free to choose extras to enhance their stand if required. Full details and prices can be found in the Stand Extras section of the manual.
  • Carpet/flooring. The floor covering throughout all shell scheme stand areas and gangways will be rewind (fully recyclable) carpet. All shell scheme stands will have carpet provided (mid grey). The exhibitor will be responsible for any damage to the floor coverings, in or around the stand. Any damage caused to the carpet by an exhibitor or their contractor will be replaced, and the cost of replacement charged to the exhibitor.
  • Stand cleaning. Stands will be vacuumed prior to opening each morning FREE OF CHARGE. We recommend having a stock of refuse bags on your stand for waste. All sacks of waste should be left in the gangways after the show closes. Sacks left on stands will NOT be removed. All cardboard boxes should be flat packed for removal. PLEASE NOTE – the organisers do not supply bins or waste sacks for your stand – you will need to ensure you have the appropriate provision for the activity taking place on your stand. Any waste left after breakdown that is deemed in excessive quantities will be recharged to the exhibitor for recycling/removal costs. It is important where possible to re-use and recycle any waste you may produce on your stand during the show.
  • Electrics. Electrical work on your stand must be carried out by the appointed electrical stand contractor GES.

  • A list of the most commonly requested electrical items, together with costs inclusive of the current consumed, will be found on the electrical order form located in the Optional Orders section of the manual. • NB a surcharge of 20% will apply on all mains power ordered after the deadline detailed on the order form.
  • A charge will also be levied for the movement of incorrectly placed electrical fittings.

Nameboards. A name board will be fitted on the fascia of each open side of the shell scheme stand. Exhibitors are reminded that unless they complete their Show Guide Entry form their registered name or trade name only will be used. NB: the name board name will be taken from the name you enter for your Exhibitor Listing. Please ensure that when completing the form any abbreviations are correct. Addresses will not be included. No display material or logos may be fixed to the fascia. If exhibitors wish to amend their name boards on site, a £30 + VAT charge will apply for each new board.
